My Tucker, EPI GS mix, is terrified of light rain, now, because he knows what's coming. I was walking him yesterday, and there were no storms in the area, but something spooked him so we went home. We have had some success with hemp chews we get on Amazon. I give him two, put a blanket on the bathroom floor, turn on the fan & shut the door. He'll lie there for hours. We have a THUNDERSHIRT, but he came to associate it with the thunder, and he'd run around the house in fear as soon as I put it on him. I feel so bad for him. He shakes so hard. My vet prescribed valium, but it seems to confuse him. Good luck---Pam
Tucker was a shepherd mix--- TLI 1.3, Folate 9.7, Cobalamin 666, Lipase 38. Diane's Enzymes 4 t/day, B12 1 capsule/day, and Tylan 1/16 teaspoon/day. Taste of the Wild High Prairie, 4 c/day. 60 to 85 pounds! Tucker succumbed to hemangiosarcoma Nov. 2023. I will always, always miss my sweet big boy.

Now there's Nina. 5 year old GSD. TLI 1.0 B12 323. We are still tweaking her routine, and getting lots of help from the forum. She is klutzy and goofy, and we love her dearly, too.

Couldn't it be due to ultrasounds? Unlike us, they can hear them, and it makes them panic sometimes.

And regarding the Thundershirt, I'm sorry to hear that... Do you have a basement in which the noise could be dampened? Or a room that has better sound insulation from the outside?
